As I was packing my groceries a lady came to me and said "I just want to tell you you're doing a great job. I saw what happened to your son." The sad part is I couldn't even remember what she was talking about until we were walking out to the car. And as for lists, well, I always make one but often lose it before I even get to the store! Of course, I live much closer to stores so it's not such a big deal.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07102483450448297155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540353207535235590.post-18846319464803415632011-01-07T22:22:55.034-08:002011-01-07T22:22:55.034-08:00I remember well those days and going home after si...I remember well those days and going home after similar adventures saying I would NEVER take a child to the store again. Now days my only shopping buddy is a 2 year old who is afraid of people and refuses to ride in the backpack. She tries to melt into my neck every time anyone glances at her. The up side is that my upper body has never been this strong.R.G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12912377390180502802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540353207535235590.post-65403884575797048542011-01-06T17:59:14.999-08:002011-01-06T17:59:14.999-08:00While I don't have children, while I was a nan...While I don't have children, while I was a nanny I DID take babies/toddlers to the grocery store. I like to think of it as "damage control." They are a little bit pricier on some things, but if you watch and take care you can get some good deals. You can review and total up your order before you buy. I've also found that I avoid impulse buys when I use them. I only have one kid, but when he was a toddler I'd rather pull my fingernails out at the root than take him to the grocery store. ;)Cynthia Shenettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07089125778529696076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540353207535235590.post-84368700052424218482011-01-06T13:44:17.584-08:002011-01-06T13:44:17.584-08:00Haaaaahaaa. With Syd I used to get all sorts of comments about how he is too big to walk and should not be carried. Yeah I thought. YOU can let him walk. Tiring, but worked for me. You have a kelty back pack right? I am sure you will get all sorts of comments. I still hate grocery shopping with kids though.rowenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06697957041087251456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540353207535235590.post-37492711061114937072011-01-06T13:05:53.447-08:002011-01-06T13:05:53.447-08:00Oh yes, this sounds familiar. My only advice is if you use the giant carts that seats a few kids & strap him into the bottom part where the seats face eachother he won't be able to reach the food in your cart. That is if you ever attempt to bring him shopping with you again. You survived, that is the key!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03475461328866426080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540353207535235590.post-4207285009025115802011-01-06T09:16:33.862-08:002011-01-06T09:16:33.862-08:00Welcome to my world!
